Model 501 / 601 Tray Packaging System

The Model 501 vertical L bar sealer is our largest model, designed to provide customers with substantial film savings, especially on cylindrical products and products that are longer than they are wide - products like stacks of cups, foam trays, and more. This model can handle package sizes ranging from 2” x 2” up to 24” x 65” and operates at speeds of up to 30 packages per minute. It offers configurations such as trim wind-up for scrap removal or trimless (scrap attached to the package). Optional features include a trim break detection eye, hole punch for air release, and a pin perforator assembly. In this video, foam trays are sent through the Model 501/601 automatically. Each package of trays is bagged and sealed and then combined for a multi-pack outer bag, ideal for the food service disposables industry. The Model 501 also reduces film costs versus pre-made bags and is suitable for e-commerce applications using centerfolded mail order film. The air requirement is 0.43 to 0.60 CFM per machine cycle at 80 PSI, and the electric requirement is 240 Volt, 3 Phase, 60 Hz, 7.5-9 amps. The footprints vary, with the approximate size for Model 501-36 being 74" x 78".
