March 8, 2006
CINCINNATI, OH; HOMER, MI - Robin Thurgood, a 35-year veteran in packaging engineering and management, has been named Vice President and General Manager of Rennco, a leading manufacturer of vertical packaging and automated product handling solutions.
Rennco is a division of Pro Mach and part of its End-of-Line Packaging Business Unit.
Mr. Thurgood will lead the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of Michigan-based Rennco. Before assuming the top spot at Rennco, he served as its Vice President of Engineering for three years. During that time, he was instrumental in introducing new products and advancing technology at Rennco.
Mr. Thurgood began his career in packaging as a mechanical engineer and has held management positions with several leading packaging and plastics companies. He replaces Al Lutz, who retired at the end of January. Mr. Thurgood reports to Mack Greene, president of Pro Mach's End-of-Line Packaging Business Unit.
"We're pleased to have someone with Robin's considerable experience leading Rennco," said Mr. Greene. "He has a proven track record of success in product development, building relationships with customers, and leadership in the packaging industry. We are confident that under his direction Rennco will continue to advance its reputation as a provider of choice for companies that need reliable solutions for handling, counting, accumulating and packaging products in sealed poly-bags."
